In his most recent role with Verizon Wireless, Marquett was responsible for leading a team of over 4,800 customer service professionals -- providing national and area level support. In partnering with my eight support centers we garnered enterprise leading customer satisfaction results, improved industry leading customer retention by 6.5%, drove productivity improvement of 9% YOY and drove direct savings to the bottom line by 17%.
Marquett also served as the president of the Washington/Baltimore/Virginia region for Verizon Wireless; he held full P&L and operational responsibility for a $2.8 billion revenue stream for the US's largest wireless company. As the driving force behind sales, marketing, customer service, retail stores and network expansion across the tri-state area, he introduced both strategic and tactical initiatives to strengthen competitive advantage as well as shareholder value.
