      New Board Members and New Ambassadors Work Together for Organizational Values

In October, the Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce (NVBCC) approved new board members and new leaders of the Ambassador Team to promote the mission and vision of the Chamber. The NVBCC board added three new leaders to its number: Leann White, Jocelyn Johnson, and Tonya White. Leann White is an Associate Vice President, Business Development Officer, in the banking industry. Leann applies her wealth of financial experience to mentor business owners about the best banking decisions for their small businesses. Jocelyn Johnson is a Clinical Nutritionist, Licensed Dietetic Nutritionist, and Therapeutic Herbalist, and she uses her passions of nutrition and food to educate and encourage clients to wellness through her two businesses, Trillium & Lotus Whole Body Wellness, LLC, and Elliot James Naturals. Tonya White is the President and CEO of The Write Touch, LLC. Tonya leverages her communications background and expertise to help her clients promote their skills and capabilities through thoughtful and intentional communications. The Chamber Ambassador Team also added two new leaders to the group: Reggie Holmes and Patricia Dinkens. The team coordinates and trains Chamber Ambassadors to represent the NVBCC at various functions throughout Northern Virginia. Reggie Holmes is the Founder and Creative Director of Enthuse Creative, a small business brand consulting and design company that strategically works with clients to build their brand and public profile. Patricia Dinkens has been in real estate for more than 20 years and works with Samson Properties, LLC, to create the dream home experience for her clients. All five of these new leaders bring diverse professional backgrounds to the Chamber to help Black small business owners flourish in the region. 

Lastly, there are several upcoming important Chamber-associated events on the NVBCC calendar. On Thursday, December 1, the NVBCC will host its General Annual Meeting and Holiday Event. Registration and Sponsorship available And on Thursday, December 14, the Chamber will participate in a networking meeting of the Multi-Cultural Alliance. Both events will allow the NVBCC community to come together for a time of support, networking, and encouraging Black businesses to thrive in Northern Virginia
