Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce (NVBCC) is searching for a New Executive Director
The Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce (NVBCC) is a nonprofit, membership-based organization committed to advancing Black-owned businesses and economically empowering underserved communities throughout Northern Virginia. NVBCC is seeking an experienced, visionary leader to fill its opening for an Executive Director (ED).
The Executive Director is a high-profile senior staff member who serves as the face of NVBCC and provides strategic, operational, and fiscal leadership under the direction of the Board of Directors (BOD). The ED oversees day-to-day management of the organization, builds relationships with members and key partners, ensures accountability, and drives the execution of NVBCC’s strategic goals in conjunction with staff and the BOD.
With a growing network of over 550 businesses, NVBCC delivers impactful programs, strategic partnerships, and advocacy that promote economic growth and inclusion across the region. The ED will be leading the charge on many of these initiatives, spearheading activities ranging from fundraising to stakeholder engagement.
For this important leadership role, NVBCC is seeking a strategic, results-driven leader who excels at problem-solving and managing priorities independently. The ideal candidate is ethical, emotionally intelligent, and skilled at building strong relationships while maintaining clear and consistent follow-through.
This is a pivotal time for NVBCC, a moment to build on our momentum, strengthen our foundation, and expand our impact,” said Tonya Poindexter, NVBCC Board Chair. “I understand how critical the Executive Director role is to that vision. We’ve laid a strong foundation, and this next phase of leadership is about building something even greater for our members, our partners, and our community.” Interested candidates should submit a resume along with a tailored cover letter via Indeed explaining their interest in the role, relevant experience, and vision for leading NVBCC forward.
NVBCC is an equal opportunity employer. We strongly encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds who are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusive economic growth. Please visit: www.nvbcc.org for more information about the organization.
